About Katherine Mendez Martinez, NP

Katherine Martinez, APRN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner at Atlantic Health Medical Associates. Katherine offers patient-focused and family-oriented health care to residents of North Miami Beach and Coral Springs, Florida.

Katherine was raised by her Cuban-born parents in Miami Beach. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Barry University in Miami Shores. Fluent in Spanish and English, she enjoys attending to patients in both languages.

She is a certified advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and a medical-surgery nurse through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Additionally, she is a member of the South Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses. 

At Atlantic Health Medical Associates, Katherine is passionate about preventive and holistic care, treating risk factors before they turn into serious complications and taking care of the body as a whole. She is a strong advocate for the role nursing plays in patients’ health care journeys and takes great pride in educating new nurses. 

While helping patients at the practice, she also helps assist her husband at their family-owned physical training lab in North Miami. She spends her free time volunteering as a school nurse at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School, as well.

Outside of patient care, Katherine enjoys watching the latest movies, traveling, and having family time.
